Hi Skip,
Now you have to tell us a little about this really interesting pic. Is this an old mine or a volcano and were you standing up there to take the shot? The colors are amazing although Costa Rica has amazing colors in general!
Thanks!

Shalom to you.

What did you feel standing there looking at this chaos at rest?
Seems like it would be a mind filling experience to look at Y-H’s restrained or resting mighty power!
I doubt I will ever get to travel the world and see such things first hand so I am grateful for your pictures and for the technology that lets me see it from home!

In the past three weeks, my daughter-in-law sent me a picture of one that is seemingly completely at rest, it is the Japanese governed Island Aoga Shima, that Smithsonian says erupted first about 3000 years ago; it had some activity in the 1700’s one area. Today there are homes built inside the caldera, and on the sides. It is in a natural beautiful peaceful setting. So perhaps in a few thousand years this one will be, too. Most interesting. http://www.volcanodiscovery.com
